At The Bridge to Hope, our goal is to provide a safe place for survivors fleeing abusive situations. Our shelter serves as a place to access support and begin rebuilding their lives safe from abuse.

Who is Eligible for Shelter?

To qualify for shelter, you must be actively fleeing an abuser or abusive situation. Our shelter is open to anyone regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, or disability.

The Bridge To Hope strives to accommodate your specific needs and situation.

We are pet and child friendly, and our services are free and confidential.

Everyone should be able to access The Bridge to Hope and escape abuse.

When you are approved for shelter, here is what we recommend you bring:

-Important legal documents including a birth certificate, passport, Social Security Card, etc.

-A few days worth of clothes

-Toiletries

-A small amount of personal items

In abusive situations, time is of the essence. We understand if certain items get left behind. These items are goals to have to make finding resources easier.

What to Expect

While in shelter, there are certain things to expect in order to make your time here as productive as possible. Below are some steps we take to work towards helping a survivor towards a safer life.

Your Stay

After contacting us, you will begin your initial 30 day stay. Depending on the situation, your time could extend. You will work with an advocate to determine your needs. Our shelter contains eight bedrooms as well as communal living spaces.

During your stay you will receive support targeted towards your needed support. Within our program we will establish goals toward your independence and safety. Connect with others and plan for your future.

Your Resources

While in shelter, you have access to:

-Our pantry

-Clothing

-Bedding

-Toiletries

-Other essentials

We will meet with you on a consistent basis to figure out your needs and your next steps.

Your Goals

While in shelter, we will establish goals to guide you towards a safer future. Goal setting is how we determine what is working for you while in shelter. Advocates work with you to determine which plans work best
