What do we do at The Bridge to Hope?
The Bridge to Hope provides support and healing to survivors and families while engaging with the community to recognize and prevent abuse.
The Bridge to Hope is a non-profit organization. Here we are committed to ending domestic abuse, sexual assault and human trafficking. We aim to empower those who have been affected by violence and provide options and support towards a new life. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You are never alone, and we are here for you when you are ready.
Our Story
The Bridge to Hope was created for the community by the community. The goal was to provide a safe place for survivors of domestic violence. In 1982 a grassroots movement progressed into a full non-profit. A few of the founding members are:
Shirley Frederickson, Elaine Fitzgerald, Celia Lausted, Lynn LaVenture, Bonnie Lindgren, and others.
Throughout our time, we have continued to support both Dunn and Pepin Counties. We climbed from 37 initial clients to over 500 survivors helped today. We collaborate with law enforcement, judicial agencies, human services departments, schools and churches. Our mission is to end domestic violence and sexual assault from all our communities. We offer hope to survivors and empower them as they struggle to live a life free of fear, violence, and abuse.

End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin promotes social change that transforms societal attitudes, practices and policies to prevent and eliminate domestic abuse. They envision communities fully engaged to provide safety and to give a voice to all affected by domestic abuse, while creating the social change necessary to address its root causes. 608-255-0539
WCASA
Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault is a statewide organization incorporated in 1985 to support and complement the work of Wisconsin’s community-based sexual assault service provider programs and other organizations working to end sexual violence. WCASA works in collaboration with communities throughout the state to support existing services to victims/survivors of sexual violence, to plan for the development of new services, to create and support community prevention efforts, and to stimulate community ownership of the issue of sexual violence. 608-257-1516
United Way of Dunn County
United Way of Dunn County's 211 Services provide free and confidential access to various assistance programs, including food, housing, mental health, and crisis intervention. Available 24/7, individuals can reach out via phone, text, or online. Collaborating with community partners, United Way addresses local issues, ensuring every contribution counts towards making lives better. 715-235-3066
West CAP
West CAP provides a wide range of community services, including Adult Education Assistance, Community Outreach initiatives like School Supply and Holiday Gift Drives, and support for housing stability through programs such as Community Housing Development and Rental Properties. They also offer energy assistance, weatherization services, and Homeless Intervention. Their JumpStart Affordable Car Loan program helps with transportation needs. Upholding principles of Equal Opportunity, West Cap ensures fairness and inclusivity, with a Grievance Procedure in place. 715-598-4750
Stepping Stones of Dunn County
Stepping Stones of Dunn County seeks to foster a community that prevents hunger, homelessness, and isolation throughout Dunn County by providing food, shelter, and support to individuals and families in need. The Food Pantry provides nutritious food and personal care items to people experiencing food insecurity. The Shelter Program offers emergency shelter, housing assistance, and supportive services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The Community Connections Program connects community members with volunteers, resources, and emergency financial assistance, as funding allows, helping people maintain stability and strengthen their connection to the community. 715-235-2920
The Victim/Witness Assistance Program of Dunn County
The Victim/Witness Assistance Program, a specialized unit within the Office of the District Attorney, offers crucial support to survivors of crimes and witnesses involved in legal proceedings. Their services encompass providing information, support, and advocacy to all survivors, witnesses, and family members affected by adult and juvenile offenders. Recognizing the challenges survivors face, the program aims to mitigate trauma associated with victimization. Their primary objective is to facilitate survivors' ability to voice concerns and receive guidance throughout the court process. Central to their mission is treating every victim with sensitivity, dignity, and respect while upholding victims' rights. Additionally, the program acts as a referral agency, connecting victims with other necessary services available within Dunn County. 715-232-6886
Pepin County Human Services
Pepin County Human Services plays a vital role in meeting basic human and family needs by providing essential support in various areas. This includes assistance with food, fuel, shelter, clothing, and medical needs. They offer valuable information on eligibility and access to programs such as General Relief, FoodShare Wisconsin, Medical Assistance, Day Care, Fuel Assistance, Home Weatherization, Low Income Energy Assistance, Crisis Assistance, and other relevant assistance programs. By offering comprehensive resources and eligibility guidance, Pepin County Human Services strives to ensure that individuals and families in need receive the necessary support to maintain their well-being and stability. 715-672-8941

The Pepin County Housing Authority, a Non-Profit Organization, is dedicated to offering affordable housing solutions to the Elderly, Handicapped, and Disabled individuals within the community.
