Crisis Advocate Job Description

Criminal Background Check

Crisis Advocate responsibilities include, but are not limited to: shelter operations and for night and weekend case management of all shelter clients in coordination with the daytime advocates, assuring safety and confidentiality of all clients, nightly chores as assigned, operation of crisis lines and other duties as assigned. Experience in domestic violence, sexual assault or related human services field preferred.

A good candidate has/is:

  • working towards a major/minor in related human services field, including but not limited to: Human Development and Family Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Vocational Rehabilitation, Social Work, Women’s and Gender Studies, and also Education and Marketing.
